🤖 Guidelines for Using Generative AI (GenAI) Tools in Manuscripts

Generative AI tools can assist in academic writing but must be used responsibly to maintain research integrity. Authors bear full responsibility for all manuscript content, including AI-generated material. Please follow these guidelines:

1. Language and Formatting:
GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) may be used to improve grammar, spelling, and formatting. Authors must carefully review and edit all AI-generated content for accuracy and coherence.
2. Content Accuracy & Originality:
Verify the correctness of AI-generated text, citations, and data. Use plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality and avoid copyright issues.
3. Figures and Data:
Review AI-generated charts and visuals to ensure they accurately represent the original data and do not mislead.
4. Transparency and Disclosure:
Disclose the use of AI tools in the Methodology or Acknowledgements section, specifying the tool name, version, and specific use (e.g., language editing, data analysis).
5. No Data Fabrication or Manipulation:
Do not use GenAI to create, fabricate, or manipulate data or images in a way that distorts research results.
6. Limitations and Authorship:
GenAI tools cannot replace human research efforts or be credited as authors. Only human contributors responsible for the work should be listed as authors.

📌 Important note: Any AI-assisted content must be thoroughly vetted by the author(s). The final decision and accountability remain entirely with the submitting authors.

🛂 Visa Information for Conference Participants

Depending on your nationality and travel purpose, you may or may not require a visa to enter China. Please review the following guidelines (policy reference as of May 2025):

Citizens of several countries can enter China without a visa for short-term stays (tourism/business):

🇸🇬 Singapore · 30 days 🇯🇵 Japan · 30 days 🇹🇭 Thailand · 15 days 🇲🇾 Malaysia · 15 days 🇲🇻 Maldives · 15 days 🇦🇪 UAE · 30 days

European Countries: Citizens from 38 countries — including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Greece, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway (Schengen area members) and others — are eligible for visa-free entry for up to 15 or 30 days for tourism, business, and short-term activities (depending on bilateral agreements).

📢 Please consult the nearest Chinese embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date and detailed information on visa policies, including eligibility and duration. Policy updates may occur.

📋 Visa Requirements

If your country is not listed under the visa-free policy, you will need to apply for a visa to enter China.

Tourist Visa (Type L): This is typically the most straightforward option for conference attendees. For academic/business purposes, M visa may also be applicable.
Application: Apply at the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country or region of residence. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned entry date and has at least two blank pages.
Timeline: It is strongly recommended to apply at least 4–6 weeks before your intended travel date to allow sufficient processing time.
Documents required: Completed visa application form, recent photo, flight itinerary, hotel reservation, and the official conference invitation letter.

💡 Conference Invitation Letter: If you require an official invitation letter for visa application, please contact the conference secretariat at least 8 weeks in advance. Provide your full name, passport details, affiliation, and paper ID (if applicable).
